Officers & Directors

Senior Management

Mr. Liddell joined Lake Shore Savings Bank as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director to the Board in April of 2023. He has more than 35 years of banking experience, having most recently served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of 1880 Bank and Delmarva Bancshares, Inc.  Mr. Liddell currently serves as Director of BV Financial and Bay Vanguard Bank and sits on the Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.

Mr. Liddell has a Bachelor of the Arts in Economics and Business and has attended both the School of Bank Management and the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management at the University of Virginia.

Ms. Sprague has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry, having held several different positions in customer service, operations, special projects, and retail branches at multiple financial institutions in the region.

Mr. Gilden was formerly the Chief Strategy Officer upon joining Lake Shore Savings Bank (“the Bank”) in June 2023. Mr. Gilden served as Senior Vice President and Controller of FVCbank in Fairfax, Virginia from July 2022 until June 2023. He was formerly the Vice President of Finance at BayVanguard Bank, Baltimore, Maryland (and predecessor 1880 Bank) from 2018 until 2022. Mr. Gilden worked for Deloitte and Touche LLP’s Audit and Assurance practice from 2013 to 2018 with a focus in the financial services industry. He graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Science in Finance.

Mr. Cortellucci joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in November 2022. He brings more than 20 years of experience in Information Technology Management to the company, having worked in several different industries including banking, healthcare, and logistics. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is Yellow Belt Certified in Six Sigma. The Chief Technology Officer provides strategic direction, leadership and oversight of the IT department.

Mr. Werdein joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in August 2014 as Executive Vice President of the Commercial Division. His responsibilities include loan portfolio growth, risk management, and contribution to profit while providing direction and oversight of all commercial loan production. Mr. Werdein spent 15 years at Evans Bank as a commercial lender and team leader in the commercial real estate and small/middle market business segment. He was most recently Senior Vice President and Team Leader Commercial Division at Evans Bank. Prior to Evans Bank, Mr. Werdein was a commercial lender with Citibank and Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Werdein holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo. He is also involved in numerous community and nonprofit organizations either as a board member, committee member or participant in fund raising activities. The Executive Vice President, Commercial Division is responsible for the cultivation, acquisition, credit analysis, and presentation of loans to upper management and Board of Directors, as well as determining pricing, portfolio management, and the leadership of the Commercial Lending Division.

Ms. Bellanti joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in May 2022 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. She brings more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources Management to the bank, having worked at several companies in both Chautauqua and Erie Counties. She studied Business Administration at The State University of New York at Fredonia and is certified by the Society for Human Resource Management. Ms. Bellanti most recently served as the Director of Human Resources for KSL Diagnostics in Williamsville, NY. The Senior Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the Company, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.

 Mr. Pietak joined Lake Shore Savings Bank as the Controller in April of 2023. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo and is a licensed CPA in the State of New York. His prior work experience includes roles as an auditor at Ernst & Young and Senior Manager of Financial Reporting at Athenex, Inc. The Controller is responsible for accounting oversight, internal and external financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Commercial Lending Officers and Other Officers

Mr. Rubadeaux joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in March 2016 as a Commercial Loan Officer and Assistant Vice President. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2022. Mr. Rubadeaux has more than 17 years of commercial lending and credit experience, most recently at Evans Bank, where he served as an Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. Previously, he served as a Credit Officer at Evans Bank and a Small Business Underwriter at First Niagara Bank. Mr. Rubadeaux holds a Bachelor of Science from The State University of New York at Buffalo. Active in the community, he volunteers with the Buffalo City Mission and Habitat for Humanity and coaches youth soccer for the Clarence Soccer Club.

Mr. Noville joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in April 2019 as a Commercial Loan Officer and Vice President. Mr. Noville has more than 30 years of commercial lending experience, most recently at Blue Bridge Financial, where he served as a Senior Vice President and Sales Manager. Previously, he served as Vice President and Loan Officer at Evans Bank, and Vice President at Fifth Third Bank. Mr. Noville holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from The State University of New York at Buffalo.

Mr. Pendleton joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in 2024 with more than seven years of experience in commercial real estate, most recently with Bank on Buffalo, where he served as a Commercial Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial Lender. He holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from Canisius College.

Branch Management

 

Mr. Dimitri joined the Lake Shore Savings team in April of 2006. He has been a Head Teller, Customer Service Representative, and Assistant Manager for Lake Shore Savings prior to his current position as Branch Manager. He is a graduate from Jamestown Community College with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Dimitri has attended various courses and seminars in banking and management from the Center for Financial Training. He is an active member in the Westfield-Mayville Rotary, The Nathan George Foundation, and a 2010 graduate of the Chautauqua Leadership Network. Mr. Dimitri’s primary responsibility is to oversee both the Westfield and Fredonia offices in terms of deposits, residential mortgages, and commercial lending.

Ms. Harding joined the Lake Shore Savings team in September 1997. She has been Head Teller, Customer Service Representative, Mortgage Specialist, Assistant Manager, and Branch Manager for Lake Shore Savings prior to her current position as Regional Branch Sales Manager. Ms. Harding studied Business Administration at Jamestown Community College. She has served on the Allocation Committee at the United Way for the past eight years and is a Board Member for the Chautauqua Children's Safety Education Village. Ms. Harding volunteers at community events throughout the year. Ms. Harding’s primary responsibility is to oversee the Lakewood and Jamestown Branches in terms of deposits, residential mortgages and consumer originations, and commercial lending.

Ms. Schwindler joined Lake Shore Savings in November 2020. She brings more than 15 years of banking experience with expertise in lending and development. Ms. Schwindler was formerly employed by Evans Bank, where she was a multi-site branch manager of the Clarence and Williamsville offices. She attended Bryant & Stratton College for Business Administration with a Specialization in Management. Ms. Schwindler is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Buffalo. Ms. Schwindler is an active member with the Amherst Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Campanella joined Lake Shore Savings Bank in November 2008 as an Assistant Manager. She has 25 years of banking retail and lending experience with special expertise in customer service and relationship management. Previously, Ms. Campanella was employed by Greater Buffalo Savings Bank/First Niagara Bank as an Assistant Manager. She was promoted to Branch Sales Manager after one year with Lake Shore Savings Bank and was named Branch Relationship Manager in the Bank’s East Amherst Branch in 2018. Ms. Campanella studied Business at Bryant and Stratton College.

Board of Directors

Mr. Bennett was the Vice President for Administration at the State University of New York at Fredonia (SUNY Fredonia), a position he held from 1997 until his retirement in November 2010. Mr. Bennett was also the President of the SUNY Fredonia Faculty-Student Association and he served on a number of campus committees. He owns a tax preparation business in Westfield, New York serving over 900 clients and is a certified public accountant in New York State. Mr. Bennett has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting from SUNY Albany. He is currently a member of the Audit/Risk Committee and the Asset/Liability Committee.

Sharon E. Brautigam was a partner in the law firm of Brautigam & Brautigam, LLP in Fredonia, New York from 1986 until 2016, where she concentrated her practice in the areas of real estate transactions, estates and trusts, elder law and small business formation and general advice. She is currently of counsel to Brautigam & Brautigam, LLP. She has a Bachelor of the Arts degree from Houghton College and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. She is currently the Chairperson of the Nominating and Governance Committee and is a member of the Compensation Committee.

Ms. DeBergalis is currently the chief executive officer of American Realty Group. Prior to this, she held positions at some of Western New York's largest development companies, where she worked on numerous high-profile Buffalo Niagara region development projects. Ms. DeBergalis also brings extensive experience as a public sector worker, educator and volunteer, having served Erie County and the City of Buffalo in various leadership roles, and as an adjunct faculty member with Buffalo State College and SUNY Erie. Ms. DeBergalis holds a bachelor’s degree in Business as well as a master's degree in Higher Education/Student Personnel from SUNY Buffalo State College.

Mr. McGrath has been the Assistant Treasurer at Moog Inc. since 2008, and has nearly 30 years of managerial experience in the banking industry, including Greater Buffalo Savings Bank, First Niagara Financial Group and Empire of America. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University at Buffalo, a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Canisius College, and is a graduate of the National School of Finance and Management at Fairfield University. He is currently a member of the Asset/Liability Committee.

Mr. Mehltretter has been the Vice President of Information Technology for Gibraltar Industries, a leading manufacturer and distributer of building products, since January 2017. During 2016, he provided consulting services as a principal to Nextgen Technology Advisors LLC, a consulting firm established in Hamburg, New York. Mr. Mehltretter was formerly the Global Vice President of Information Technology for New Era Cap Company, an international headwear and apparel company headquartered in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Mehltretter earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from The State University of New York College at Buffalo, and his Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the University at Buffalo. Active in the community, Mr. Mehltretter serves as a Board Member for the Skating Association for the Blind and Handicapped (SABAH). He is currently a member of the Audit/Risk committee.

Mr. Passafaro is currently the President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of ECR International, a division of BDR Thermea Group, where he has served in this capacity since 2015. BDR Thermea, headquartered in the Netherlands, is a global leader providing innovative heating and hot water systems and services for residential and commercial applications marketed in over 100 countries. He has served two terms as Chairman of the North American boiler industry and presently serves the industry as a member of the Leadership Council. In 2017, Mr. Passafaro was presented the Richard C. Schultz award for distinguished service to the North American air conditioning, heating and refrigeration industry. He is currently a member of the Compensation Committee.

Mr. Sanvidge is retired from his position as Chief Executive Officer and Administrative Director of the Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency ('IDA'), a position he held from June 2014 until December 2017. He was previously the Executive Vice President of Administration and Supply Chain at Cliffstar Corporation, a private label juice and beverage manufacturer, a position he held from 2006 until 2012. Mr. Sanvidge has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Concordia University, and has completed the Executive Management Seminar at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has served as an officer or member of several community and business organizations in Chautauqua County over the last 20 years. Mr. Sanvidge is the Chairman of the Compensation Committee, and a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee.

Ms. Segarra was appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors in October of 2023. She currently serves as the Unit Business Officer, College of Arts and Science of the University at Buffalo and is responsible for the administration of the school’s annual budget. Ms. Segarra brings more than 35 years of financial services experience to the Lake Shore Savings Board of Directors, including 28 years at Key Bank (as well as predecessor First Niagara Bank and its related subsidiaries), where she worked in various roles including Director of Internal Audit; Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations; Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller; Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance; Senior Vice President and Business Unit CFO of Tech Governance and Financial Performance; and Senior Vice President - Merger and Integration Director. She also served as the Chief Financial Officer for BHS Foodservice Solutions, LLC. Ms. Segarra earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Canisius College and has served as a Board Member for both the First Niagara Foundation and the YWCA of Niagara. She is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs.
